Loving and Serving One Another

Robby Pollard, Lead Paster

What are you doing with your life?

What is your life doing?

1 Peter 4:7a

7The end of all things is at hand…

1 Peter 4:1-2

1Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, 2so as to live for the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for human passions but for the will of God.

1 Peter 3:18

18For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit,

1 Peter 3:21

21Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

1 Peter 4:2

2so as to live for the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for human passions but for the will of God.

1 Peter 4:3

3For the time that is past suffices for doing what the Gentiles want to do, living in sensuality, passions, drunkenness, orgies, drinking parties, and lawless idolatry.

1 Peter 4:7

7The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers.

“Trust in God…but keep your powder dry.”

Pray for the return of Christ, but pray for faithfulness until He returns.

1 Peter 4:8

8Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.

Love one another.

1 Peter 4:8

8Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.

Proverbs 10:12

12Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses.

Galatians 6:1

1Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted.

Serve one another.

1 Peter 4:9

9Show hospitality to one another without grumbling.

1 Peter 4:10-11

10As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: 11whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Love one another.

Serve one another.
