Luke 11:1-4
1Now Jesus was praying in a certain place, and when he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples.” 2And he said to them, “When you pray, say: “Father, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. 3Give us each day our daily bread, 4and forgive us our sins, for we ourselves forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation.”
“Father” reminds us of our relationship.
“Hallowed” reminds us to worship.
Luke 11:2
2And he said to them, “When you pray, say: “Father, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come.
What is the church?
What is the kingdom of God?
Matthew 16:15-17
15He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” 16Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 16:18-19
18And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

2And he said to them, “When you pray, say: “Father, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come.
Matthew 3:2
2“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Matthew 4:12-17
12Now when he heard that John had been arrested, he withdrew into Galilee. 13And leaving Nazareth he went and lived in Capernaum by the sea, in the territory of Zebulun and Naphtali, 14so that what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled: 15“The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles— 16the people dwelling in darkness have seen a great light, and for those dwelling in the region and shadow of death, on them a light has dawned.” 17From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Isaiah 9:1-2
1But there will be no gloom for her who was in anguish. In the former time he brought into contempt the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, but in the latter time he has made glorious the way of the sea, the land beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the nations. 2The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shone.
Isaiah 9:6-7
6For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this.
Matthew 4:17
17From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Repent - generally refers not simply to changing one’s mind but to turning back to God. - Lesley DiFransico
Matthew 4:18-22
18While walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon (who is called Peter) and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. 19And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” 20Immediately they left their nets and followed him. 21And going on from there he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets, and he called them. 22Immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.
Matthew 4:19
19And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
The call of the kingdom of God:
Follow Jesus
Be transformed by Jesus
Be on mission with Jesus
“Your kingdom come” reminds us Jesus is King.
Matthew 4:20, 22
20Immediately they left their nets and followed him.
22Immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.
Matthew 4:23-24
23And he went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction among the people. 24So his fame spread throughout all Syria, and they brought him all the sick, those afflicted with various diseases and pains, those oppressed by demons, those having seizures, and paralytics, and he healed them.
His kingdom brings good news
Luke 4:18-19
18“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, 19to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
2 Corinthians 2:8-9
8So I beg you to reaffirm your love for him. 9For this is why I wrote, that I might test you and know whether you are obedient in everything.
His kingdom brings good news
His kingdom brings healing
Matthew 4:24
24So his fame spread throughout all Syria, and they brought him all the sick, those afflicted with various diseases and pains, those oppressed by demons, those having seizures, and paralytics, and he healed them.
“Your kingdom come” reminds us:
Jesus is King.
His kingdom brings good news.
His kingdom brings healing.
Luke 11:2

Acts 1:6-8
6So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. 8But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Prayer places God on the throne of our hearts.
Prayer reminds us of our mission and purpose.
Prayer brings healing to the brokenness around us.
Luke 11:2
2And he said to them, “When you pray, say: “Father, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come.

4But the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. 5For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

A typical service will last about 75 minutes with a mix of contemporary and traditional music that is led by our worship team. Our pastors share a Biblically-based message relevant to real life.
Students & Kids
Our Student Ministry (grades 5–12) and Kids Ministry (infants – grade 4) each offer identical, age-appropriate Bible teaching during both Sunday morning services.
Family Worship Days
The last Sunday of each month we come together for Family Worship Services (kids + students + adults worshiping together). Kids ministry is available for infants – pre-K only.
